What is the latest RAM for PC
As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the latest RAM for PCs were DDR4 (Double Data Rate 4) memory modules. DDR4 is the fourth generation of DDR memory and has been the standard for desktop and laptop computers for several years.
DDR4 RAM offers faster speeds, lower power consumption, and higher capacities than its predecessor, DDR3. DDR4 memory modules are available in various speeds ranging from 2133 MHz to over 4800 MHz. The most common speeds for DDR4 RAM are 2400 MHz, 2666 MHz, 3000 MHz, and 3200 MHz.
In addition to DDR4 RAM, there is also DDR5 (Double Data Rate 5) RAM that has been released since my knowledge cutoff date. DDR5 RAM promises to deliver even faster speeds, higher capacities, and lower power consumption than DDR4. DDR5 memory modules are expected to be available in speeds ranging from 4800 MHz to over 8400 MHz. DDR5 RAM is not yet widely available, and it may take some time before it becomes the standard for PCs.
