dnb

DNB employees must provide 24-hour prior notice when seeking help with conference rooms and Grand Central’s audio/video equipment. Visitors must provide 72-hour advance notice when seeking assistance with Grand Central’s audio/video equipment. All hardware requirements must be requested in the notification. Laptops not provided by DNB are unsupported by DNB. Content supplied by visitors are to be transferred to a DNB supplied laptop. Below are options for transferring data.

·         Transfer data via email.

·         Transfer data via SharePoint

·         Transfer data via thumb drive

Although small amounts of data can be easily transferred via email, larger sums of data may necessitate the use of either SharePoint or a thumb drive. Sending and receiving data by way of SharePoint requires the following,

·         Service Now ticket

·         Manager approval

·         DNB's Regional Security Officer approval

After fulfilling all the necessary qualifications, the IT department will authorize access for the visitor’s domain. Once access has been granted, the SharePoint site owner can designate the visitor to a specific location within SharePoint, enabling them to access, download, or upload data.

DNB North America mandates the disabling of USB drive access for all employees using DNB FM (fully managed) laptops, with specific exceptions granted for business or job requirements, DNB expats who are assigned to NYB are exempt from this requirement. In cases where a valid and logical reason is provided, DNB employees may be eligible for exceptions granted upon approval from the employee's manager and DNB's Regional Security Officer. Although USB access is disabled for DNB FM laptops, they can still read data on a thumb drive. As a security measure, all thumb drives require encryption (BitLocker) before interfacing with a DNB supplied laptop. Employees using DNB LM (lightly managed) laptops are granted USB access with no restrictions.
